Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update 4/23/20

The Marlatt family and staff know how important it is to keep everyone safe and healthy during the current state of our world. The health and welfare of the families we serve, our staff, and community are our highest priority.

We also know how important it is for us to be there for families who have lost a loved one.  We are dedicated to offering our community the same high level of care and professionalism that we have come to be known for over the last 63 years.

With an emphasis on keeping everyone safe during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, we've had to make some temporary guideline changes to the services we offer.

  • All arrangements are being done by phone, email, fax or postal mail.
  • Our office door is locked at all times; however, families are still able to drop off or pickup items or paperwork during business hours to a designated table outside our doors. We will collect anything that is left for us when the table is unoccupied. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm & Saturday 10-3pm.
  • We are offering families the option to have small funeral services or viewings in our large chapel for immediate family only for a 1 hour time period. Currently we are only allowing 10 people max in the building at a time.  To accommodate social distancing, we have spaced 10 chairs in our chapel 6 feet apart from each other.  We are also requiring everyone who enters the building to wear a mask.
  • We are able to accommodate cemetery services based on each individual cemeteries current Covid-19 guidelines.
  • At the time, we are able to hold deceased’s at our funeral home for services at a later date when larger gatherings are allowed. For casket burials, we are requiring the deceased be embalmed and placed in a sealed metal casket for holding purposes.
  • We are still able to offer pre-planning services.  All pre-planning will be done by phone, email, fax or postal mail.

Rest assured that your loved one will be in the best of care at Marlatt’s.  Know that you are not alone, and we will get through this together.

Sincerely,

The Marlatt Family and Staff
