Holiday Memorial

On Friday evening, December 6th, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., we will hold a Holiday Memorial and Candle Lighting Ceremony in our chapel. This ceremony is a way to take a moment during the holiday season to reflect on those who are no longer with us but are still very much part of our memories and lives. It also allows the staff at Marlatt Funeral Home to thank the families we have been privileged to serve. At the conclusion of the service, you will have the opportunity to light a candle in memory of your loved one.  You are welcome to invite other family and friends to join us in the ceremony.

The focal point of this ceremony is a video tribute. If you would like to participate in the tribute, please send us your favorite photo of your loved one by December 3rd. You can email the photo to us at office@marlatt.com, or you can bring it into the office. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am–3:00pm.

Following the service, there will be refreshments and an opportunity to visit with others from the community. When you leave, you are welcome to take home a memorial ornament from our tree as a special memento of the season.

We are also a Toys for Joy drop off location this holiday season for toys and non-perishable food for the community.  This program is run by the Kent Fire Department to make the holidays a little brighter for approximately 2,500 children each year.  If you are able to donate, please bring your items with you to the Holiday Memorial, or you can bring into the office any time before December 18th.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at (253) 852-2620 or email us at office@marlatt.com. Your participation will help make this a moving and memorable experience for everyone.

May the upcoming holiday season bring you peace and the comfort of loving family and friends.
