Terry B. Escott, age 58, died Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle after a long and valiant battle with prostate cancer. He was born on May 24, 1958 to Tom Escott and Nadine Huddleston (Masoero). Terry attended Highline High School where he met Laurie Heutmaker. They graduated in 1976, marrying soon after on October 8th. Terry joined the Navy and served until 1981 as second class petty officer with notable memories aboard the U.S.S. Strauss.

Following his training in intercommunications in the Navy, Terry began servicing large databank systems in the Pacific Northwest. Together with three friends, he founded Global Event Services in 1996, a tech startup that filled a niche, providing technical support for corporate events and tradeshows across the globe.

Terry's unquenchable thirst for knowledge, compassion, and hard work stamp his legacy. The Escott family settled in North Bend in 1988, where Terry devoted his time to family, volunteering with athletes, fishing, following Seattle area sports teams, golfing and traveling. He was loved by so many people and touched so many hearts with his sense of humor and carefree spirit.

Left to honor Terry is his true love Laurie Escott (40 years); his beloved children Brian, Kevin, and Stefanie (Ian) Donnelly and grandson Thomas Escott. He is also survived by parents Tom (Nancy) Escott, Nadine (Donald) Masoero, siblings Stacy (Dan) McHarness, Scott (Catherine) Escott,, Raeanne (Ed) Brideau, Gina (Donny) Masoero, James (Suzie) Masoero and numerous loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

A memorial has been set up at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Terry's name to support research towards Prostate Cancer.
