Obituary

Anosiasio Loleto Falemaka Tuivai, 56 of Kent, Washington, was called home to our heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones at her Lotunofo residence. She is survived by her husband, Vaisiliva, daughters, Fatafehi and Kanga sii, and sons, Lieulo and Va'eomatoka as well as her sisters, Melieni, Ane, Isapela and her brothers, Leipi, Lolesio, Taiaha, and Maka.

Loleto was born on March 25, 1961 in Lapaha, Kingdon of Tonga to Sosefo Vaeatangitau Falemaka and Ana Mapatoutai Kilinganoa Tuifua as the 8th of 10 beautiful children. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1977 and completed her BA degree in Geography and English from the University of the South Pacific at Suva, Fiji in 1985. She then pursued a teaching diploma at Auckland College of Education of which was completed in 1987. Upon her return to Tonga, Loleto became a seasoned teacher and lecturer at Tonga College and Tonga High School before assuming an administrative role at Tonga National Form 7. In 1997, Loleto and her son, Va'eomatoka (married to Maile Kaneko), moved to the United States where she wed her high school sweetheart, Vaisiliva, and inherited three lovely children in Fehi (married to Junior Coffin), Kanga (married to Maile Tafuna) and Bepi. In 2005, Loleto accepted an important role with the Washington State Department of Corrections as a Community Corrections Officer, a position that granted her life-long colleagues, friends and family. Anosiasio was an intimately engaged member of the Tongan Catholic community of Seattle and was active in the Seattle Chapter of the Sosefo Women's Guild. "Lolo" was a treasured mother, a beloved wife, a loving grandmother, an irreplaceable sister, a steadfast friend, and a cherished support to all who were blessed to know her.
